BURN: yang

Yoga - aka, life - asks us to do hard things. Our personal power center is responsible for motivation, will power, and healthy self esteem. It helps us achieve goals, do these hard things, and burn through life's obstacles. It can fall into excess, like a forest fire - forcing, controlling, or exerting power in an unhealthy way, which leads to burn out. Or deficiency - inability to achieve goals, lack of motivation, and hiding for fear of exposure. The goal of tapping into our power is directed focus and attention, taking aligned action, and staying the course. What we need for this is a slow, controlled burn. 75 minute yang class to ignite and stoke the fire, fan the flames with breath, and cool the embers before rest.

Please visit this worksheet to reflect and journal after practice. Print it, use your journal, take a moment to write your thoughts. Taking our yoga off the mat is when real change happens. Writing something down makes it real.
